WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS

LAUGFS International (Pvt) Ltd is committed to providing reliable products, professional after-sales support, and long-term customer confidence through structured warranty and service support programs.

The following warranty terms and conditions apply to products imported and supplied by LAUGFS International (Pvt) Ltd unless otherwise stated in writing.

1. Applicable Products & Warranty Coverage

1.1 AIRMAN Diesel Generators & CSH Diesel Generators with Ashok Leyland Engines

5-Year Engine Protection Program (Recommended Coverage)

  • Five (5) years or 2,500 engine running hours, whichever occurs first.
  • Year 1 – Comprehensive warranty coverage.
  • Years 2 to 5 – Engine warranty coverage only.

The extended warranty program is applicable only when:

  • The generator is maintained under an active AMC with LAUGFS International.
  • All servicing is carried out by authorized personnel.
  • The AMC remains active and uninterrupted.
  • The equipment is operated according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • AMC invoices and payments remain fully settled.

Basic Warranty (Non-AMC Coverage)

  • Twelve (12) months or 1,000 engine running hours comprehensive warranty, whichever occurs first.

Extended warranty support beyond manufacturer standard warranty periods is subject to technical evaluation, maintenance compliance, operational conditions, and spare parts availability.

1.2 CSH Diesel Generators & Other Diesel Generators

  • Twelve (12) months or 1,000 engine running hours comprehensive warranty.

1.3 Petrol Generators

  • Two (2) years warranty on the engine against manufacturing defects.
  • One (1) year comprehensive warranty for all other factory-fitted components.

1.4 Multi-Purpose Petrol Engines & Water Pumps

  • One (1) year comprehensive warranty.

2. General Warranty Conditions

  1. Warranty coverage is limited strictly to manufacturing defects.
  2. Warranty coverage does not include full product replacement.
  3. Claims are evaluated by LAUGFS International and/or the manufacturer.
  4. Warranty applies only to products supplied by LAUGFS International or authorized dealers.
  5. Warranty is non-transferable unless approved in writing.
  6. No entitlement to refunds, buy-backs, compensation, or replacement equipment.
  7. Transportation, lifting, and site-related costs are borne by the customer.
  8. LAUGFS International may replace components with equivalent alternatives.
  9. LAUGFS International reserves the right to inspect, repair, replace, or reject claims.

3. Warranty Exclusions

3.1 Consumable Items

  • Engine oil
  • Oil filters
  • Air filters
  • Fuel filters
  • Coolant
  • Spark plugs
  • Lubricants and grease
  • Gaskets and seals
  • Fuses
  • Cleaning agents and additives

3.2 Wear-and-Tear Items

  • Belts
  • Hoses
  • Bearings and bushings
  • Rubber components
  • Carbon brushes
  • Clamps and fasteners
  • Mufflers and exhaust components
  • Plastic covers and cosmetic components
  • Tires and wheels (where applicable)

3.3 Electrical & Accessory Components

  • Batteries and battery chargers
  • ATS/AMF systems
  • Generator controllers
  • Electronic panels
  • Monitoring systems
  • Wiring harnesses
  • External fuel systems
  • Lighting systems
  • Switchgear and changeover systems

3.4 External & Environmental Factors

Warranty does not cover damages caused by:

  • Improper installation
  • Improper grounding or earthing
  • Voltage fluctuations
  • Poor fuel quality
  • Rodent or animal damage
  • Flooding, lightning, fire, or natural disasters
  • Coastal corrosion
  • Improper ventilation
  • Incorrect operation or overloading
  • Use of non-approved spare parts or consumables

3.5 Cosmetic & Surface Damage

  • Paint fading
  • Scratches
  • Dents
  • Frame damage
  • Environmental corrosion

4. Warranty Void Conditions

  • Unauthorized repairs or modifications.
  • Failure to follow maintenance schedules.
  • Failure to maintain service records.
  • Operation outside manufacturer specifications.
  • Failure to maintain required AMC coverage.

5. Installation & Commissioning Requirements

  • Generators must be commissioned by LAUGFS International or authorized representatives.
  • Customers are responsible for proper earthing, cable sizing, ventilation, and compliance with standards.

6. Preventive Maintenance Requirements

  • Maintenance must follow manufacturer-recommended intervals.
  • Failure to maintain equipment may void warranty coverage.

7. Limitation of Liability

LAUGFS International shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages.
  • Business interruption losses.
  • Loss of revenue or profit.
  • Equipment downtime.
  • Damages to connected equipment or third-party property.

8. Customer Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Ensure proper installation and environmental conditions.
  • Maintain service records.
  • Promptly report faults and abnormalities.
  • Use approved consumables and fuel grades.

9. Warranty Claim Procedure

Warranty claims must include:

  • Proof of purchase.
  • Generator serial number/model details.
  • Service history (where applicable).
  • Description of fault or breakdown.

10. Website & Policy Updates

LAUGFS International reserves the right to amend, revise, or update warranty policies, conditions, and coverage terms without prior notice.

The warranty terms and conditions applicable at the time of original sale shall prevail unless otherwise agreed in writing.
